BREAKING: Tinubu Reacts to FCT, Kano, Rivers Election Results
Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reacted to the outcome of the just-concluded Area Council elections in Abuja and the by-elections held in Kano and Rivers States.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser, the President congratulated all winners and urged them to serve Nigerians with humility, patriotism, and dedication.
He described their victory as a sacred mandate from the people.
Tinubu Sends Message to Winners
President Tinubu advised the elected officials to focus on improving the lives of citizens and delivering good governance.
He also praised the Minister of the FCT, , for his developmental efforts in Abuja.
According to the President, Wike’s performance has contributed positively to the success of the (APC).
APC and PDP Share Victories
The (INEC) announced that APC won:
- Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC)
- Kwali Area Council
- Bwari Area Council
However, the (PDP) won Gwagwalada Area Council.
PDP candidate Mohammed Kasim scored 22,165 votes, defeating APC candidate Yahaya Shehu, who scored 17,788 votes.
Elections Also Held in Kano and Rivers
INEC also conducted by-elections in:
- Kano State
- Rivers State
- Federal Capital Territory
The elections were peaceful and successful.
Tinubu Praises INEC and Nigerians
President Tinubu also praised:
- INEC officials
- Security agencies
- Nigerian voters
He said their efforts helped strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.
He encouraged INEC to continue improving future elections.
